Logistics

I mostly love living in an urban area where I do not need a car - it saves me a lot of money, I don't have to drive (I hate driving and am horrible at it - just ask the bevy of mailboxes and side mirrors I've plowed into!), and I never have to worry about parking. But one annoying thing about being carless is that I am always thinking about the issue of how to transport things home, namely groceries. This sweet doggie is also faced with the challenging logistics of carrying home his foodstuffs and getting them into his house:

WOOF, y'all! I just paid my student loan bill for this month. I don't like parting with money unless it's for things like food and wine. Or clothes. Or shoes. Or travel. Or pretty much anything else besides bills. BUT I DIGRESS. I want a lot of money, just like this baby.

A marvelous dancer!

I took dance lessons for ten years. I took tap and jazz and ballet. I loved it, but I was never as good as this prairie dog.



I've considered taking up dancing again, but I'd never reach these sorts of creative heights.

Stressful and harried and, if I'm being honest, kinda sad is how I'd describe this week so far. But with just half an hour left to go in what's been a particular downer of a work day, Sydney sent this glorious deposit to my LOLk*.

It's only Tuesday, but I'm calling it now - this promo video for the 2011 Day of Prayer is the most hilarious thing the Internet will produce this week. Cause I thought it was a joke, but it is not a joke. Someone actually made this in the hopes of getting people PUMPED about praying.

The thing to do - stay inside and be snuggly

Y'all, it is REALLY cold in DC. I have about a half hour walk to work, and the past few mornings it has just been miserable - so much so that I've even considered taking the Metro instead (the Metro during rush hour is basically a nightmare on wheels, if you've never experienced it). My damn toes is FROZE! On days such as this, the only thing to do is stay under the covers and cuddle up with the one you love.



Sadly, that is not an option because we are all adults and we have to go to stupid work because we have to have money for rent and bills and the seemingly insurmountable, soul crushing pile of debt that never ever seems to get any smaller, no matter how much of your paycheck you keep throwing at it.
