Jealous of a baby

I've been really trying to step up my weight loss game these past few weeks - sticking to my diet, getting in at least 4 workouts a week, etc.  Mostly it's going well, but OH MY GOD I WANT TO CRAM MY FACE WITH ALL THE CARBS.

On a related note, there was a toddler next to me on the train this morning who wouldn't stop staring at me, and we had the following exchange:

Me: Hi there!
Him:  I just ate a big big muffin!
Me: F*ck you.

Just kidding!  I said, "Oh yay, you're so lucky," or some garbage.  But in my head I was like F*CK YOU, you stupid little baby who can eat whatever you want and chub actually looks CUTE on you!

And then I decided I needed to have a little diet break and eat myself some carbs before I actually cursed at a child.

Here is something that made me lol on the bus

It was 7:30am, and I lol'd, and people stared at me:

Another great bus convo

Last week I was taking the bus home and had a most educational conversation with a young lady of around 4 years old:

Child: The sun is going away!
Me: That's right!  It's night time, so the sun is setting.
Child: It's going away so it can come back again.
Me: Yes, that's right.  You know a lot about the sun!
Child: Look at that!  (points at light overhead)
Me: Okay, I'm looking at it.
Child: That's like the sun, but it's not the sun.
Me: I think I understand.
Child: That's all I know about the sun.

SUN FACTS.  I'm telling you, you learn the best things on the bus

Overheard on the bus

Wise people take the bus, y'all. The bus is cheaper than the Metro, and is always the same low price no matter when you take it or how far you go. It's much easier to get to know your way around your city if you take the bus, as you'll actually see where you are going instead of being trapped underground. The bus also tends to attract much more interesting passengers than the Metro, in my experience. Folks on the Metro are quiet, absorbed in their Kindles and their papers and just trying to get to work or home without being bothered. But people on the bus are much more lively, ready to interact with the world around them. Just the other day I heard this conversation on the bus...

Woman One, to no one in particular: LOOK AT THAT LADY ON THE CORNER! SHE'S TRYING TO LOOK LIKE AMBER ROSE!

Woman Two, sitting several rows away: Well, it's not working cause she looks like Sisqo.

Rest of the bus: LOLOLOLOLOL.

Love the bus!
